Bolting
& Cabling
This
type of work only needs to be done when the
crotches of trees are tight and v-shaped or
split open.
Cables when installed properly should be installed
about 2/3 of the way up the tree unless
the limbs are too small to support the weight.
Bolts or rods should be installed at least
one foot above the crotch of the tree that
is weak.
Use only the amount of rods or cable that
is safe enough to secure the tree.
Tree Care uses tree lags, thimbles, and soft
7 strand cable which is back braided around
the thimble.
